1. Check Whether Breakdown Cover Is Included in Your Policy
Before calling for help, confirm that Breakdown Assistance* is part of your RedClick car insurance policy by checking your policy schedule. This ensures you know what’s covered and prevents unexpected costs.

2. Call 24-Hour RedClick Breakdown Assistance
If Breakdown Assistance is on your policy, help is available anytime, day or night.
Available from Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the UK.
This number connects you directly to the breakdown team so you can get support immediately.
3. What RedClick Will Do for You (At the Scene)
🔧 On Site Repair Attempt
A trained technician will come to you on the road or at your home address and provide up to one hour of labour to try to fix the issue on the spot.
If the car can’t be repaired immediately:
🚚 Towing Service
Your vehicle will be towed to:
- The nearest competent repairer, or
- A garage of your choice (whichever is closer).
This ensures a safe and fast route to repair.
4. If You’re More Than 3 km From Home (Enhanced Support)
If your vehicle can’t be repaired roadside and you’re away from home (at least 3km), RedClick covers up to €150 for one of the following options:
🚕 Option 1: Transport to Your Destination
Transport for you and any non-fare paying passengers to your intended destination within the territorial limits.
🚗 Option 2: Replacement Vehicle
A hire car for up to 48 hours while repairs are underway.
🛏 Option 3: Overnight Accommodation
One night bed and breakfast accommodation while repairs are being carried out:
• Up to €35 per person,
• Maximum of €150 total.
Once your vehicle is repaired, RedClick covers public transport costs so you can collect your car.
5. Does Using Breakdown Assistance Affect Your No Claims Bonus?
