A Trusted Contact Person (TCP) is someone you choose, usually a friend or family member, who we may contact only in certain situations.
Their role is to help us reach you or help explain important information. They cannot make decisions for you and cannot change, renew, or cancel your policy.
Why choose a Trusted Contact Person
By adding a Trusted Contact Person we may contact them only if:
- We cannot reach you during a claim
- There is an emergency
- We have concerns, such as suspected fraud
In these cases, we only share the essential information needed with your Trusted Contact Person to help resolve any issue.
Choosing a Trusted Contact Person is optional and will not affect your cover.
What can a Trusted Contact Person do
A Trusted Contact Person can;
- Help explain information relating to your policy, claims etc.
- Help us reach you if we cannot make contact with you
A Trusted Contact Person cannot:
- Cancel, renew, or change your policy
- Make decisions for you
- Act as your legal representative
A Trusted Contact Person is a support person only. They will not receive any of your policy documents, updates etc.
How to add a Trusted Contact Person
- Download and print the 'Trusted Contact Person' consent form or
- Call us on 01 553 4040 to request a 'Trusted Contact Person' form and we will post it to you
