dublinbikes is a public bike-share scheme launched by JCDecaux and Dublin City Council in 2009 to promote more sustainable urban transport. It offers commuters and visitors a cleaner, more eco-friendly way to travel in Dublin and helps reduce congestion.

Initially starting with 450 bikes and 40 stations, the service has significantly expanded over the years due to its popularity, now offering over 1,600 bikes at 116 stations across the city.  to-date the bikes have completed over 40 million sustainable journeys!

Whether you want to use the service daily or just hop on for a quick trip, RedClick dublinbikes makes it easy.  You can choose from a one day pass, a three day ticket or an annual subscription. whatever suits your needs best.  Simply download the RedClick dublinbikes app to get started.

We have hit an important milestone - 40 million journeys on RedClick dublinbikes.  That’s 117,333,333 km travelled and an estimated 2,933 tonnes of CO₂ saved compared to car trips.

That’s 40 million connections, stories, and moments, all moving Dublin towards a more sustainable, more enjoyable city for everyone.

To celebrate, RedClick has teamed up with renowned artist Holly Pereira to create something truly special: a bespoke RedClick dublinbike that captures the energy of the streets, the vibrancy of Dublin, and the spirit of our community.

Famed Street Portait Photographer Chris Ward @ModelStrangers launches #SharedStreets

On 4th December 2024, renowned photographer Chris Ward of Model Strangers and RedClick, officially launched the #SharedStreets campaign.

Shared Streets captures the essence of community, connection, and the unique stories of RedClick dublinbikes users through a series of captivating on-street interviews and portraits by Chris.  

Since then, Chris has shared a stream of heartwarming videos. Each one brimming with positivity and a fresh perspective on life. From students and commuters to locals and tourists, every story pulses with the energy, spirit, and soul of Dublin, carried along by the rhythm of RedClick dublinbikes.

National Bike Week May 2025

National Bike Week rolled through Ireland from May 10th to 18th, and it was a fun celebration of all things cycling! 

RedClick dublinbikes were thrilled to join the buzz at Dublin City Council’s PedalPower event in Éamonn Ceannt Park on Sunday, May 11th.

With colourful costumes, community rides, and pedal powered fun, the day was a huge hit! It was the perfect chance for folks to hop on a RedClick dublinbike and feel the joy of cycling for themselves.
