Irish Wheelchair Association’s (IWA) 2026 Fitness Inclusion Games return on the 7th of May following the success of last year’s inaugural event, with RedClick proudly supporting this year’s event as partners.
Taking place at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena on 7th May, the Fitness Inclusion Games will once again bring together athletes with disabilities from across Ireland to compete in a fully inclusive, adaptive fitness competition inspired by global formats such as CrossFit and Hyrox.
The Games support people with disabilities and mobility challenges to engage in structured gym-based programmes that improve strength, coordination and overall wellbeing.
A Pioneering Sporting Initiative
The Fitness Inclusion Games are Ireland’s dedicated fitness competition for people with physical disabilities, and the flagship event of IWA’s pioneering Fitness Inclusion Project. They were created as the inclusive equivalent of popular high-intensity fitness competitions, such as CrossFit and Hyrox, with all workouts adapted to suit each participant’s ability.
Participants train year-round through the Fitness Inclusion Project, with many reporting significant improvements in both physical strength and mental wellbeing. The programme has expanded nationwide since its launch, offering more people the opportunity to experience inclusive fitness for the first time.
A Celebration of Ability
The 2026 Games will see 150 athletes participate in teams from IWA community centres across Ireland, competing in a series of adaptive fitness challenges, with spectators invited to attend and support the athletes.
Building on the success of its debut, the event continues to highlight IWA’s mission to promote inclusion, independence and opportunity for people with physical disabilities.
RedClick’s support of the Inclusion Games builds on their commitment to IWA and promoting inclusivity in sport, such as their ongoing support for the annual IWA Run ‘n’ Roll inclusive race.
